摘 要 车辆牌照自动识别系统在桥梁路口自动收费、停车场入口管理等领域有着广泛的应用。车牌定位技术是车牌识别中的关键技术之一。由于汽车图像一般在室外拍摄,因此其背景复杂、光线变化范围较大,使车牌图像处理有较大的难度。本文在分析车牌图像特征的基础上,利用汽车牌照字符与背景颜色对比强烈这一特征信息,为车牌定位提供了可靠的分析基础。 本文提出了一种基于二值化图像像素特征的车牌定位算法。利用二值化图像中车牌区域黑白像素点高频变化等特征信息,确定出车牌的大致位置。在粗定位的基础上进行二次粗定位,大大降低了粗分割后车牌图像的背景冗余信息。在精定位过程中,我们利用分块的办法,较准确地定出了车牌的左右边缘。 本文所采取的车牌定位算法在准确度上合乎要求,在定位速度上有待进一步提高。根据对大量实际拍摄图像进行测试,本文提出的车牌定位算法具有较高的准确度,并具有较好的实际应用价值。

Abstract Vehicle license plate automatic recognition system has extensive application in automatic toll collection of bridge crossing、controlling access to parking areas, etc. Vehicle license technique is one of the most critical techniques of vehicle license recognition. Due to the reason that the vehicle images are often shot in the open air, their backgrounds are of complexity and the rays vary in a huge range, which make it even more difficult to deal with the vehicle images. This paper, on the basis of analyzing the characteristics of vehicle license images, takes advantage of the characteristic information that there is a sharp contrast between the character color of the vehicle license and the color of background, which offers credible basis of analysis for the vehicle license location.
In this paper, we present an algorithm for the vehicle license location of which the base is the characteristic of pixel. Through the use of the character information that the white and black pixels within the license area alter at high frequency in the binary无忧论文 【http://www.uklunwen.com】 images, we can get the rough location of the vehicle license. We introduce the second rough location on the basis of rough location, which greatly cuts down the redundant information of background. In the course of accurate location, we take advantage of the method of block-sorting, which can correctly locate the left and right boundaries of vehicle license.
The algorithm of vehicle license location introduced in this paper conforms with the request, but it needs further improvement at the aspect of time cost during location. According to the tests that are carried out upon a great number of images that are shot in the practical environment, the algorithm of vehicle license mentioned in this paper has good precise and the value of practical application.
