Layered g-zirconium phosphate a new matrix for immobilization of hemoglobin
Abstract Using layered g-zirconium phosphate (g-ZrP) for preparation of immobilized hemoglobin (Hb) was investigated. We discussed the effects of pH, ionic strength and concentration of amines on the intercalation and immobilization behaviors. The adsorption, desorption, catalytic activity, thermal stability of the inorganic solid-protein nanocomposites were also studied. This fundamental research was carried out aiming at comparing the influence of different surface properties on the Hb immobilization after g-ZrP has been pre-intercalated with different kinds of amine or without amine. # 2002 Elsevier Science B.V.
