电子词典开发
摘要 在我们日常的学习生活中，都会遇到一些难题，例如：当你在工作时或在网上冲浪时遇到某个陌生的单词，怎么办？当你的电子邮箱中收到一封来自美国朋友的英文E-mail时，想知道某个词组和句子的准确含义时，怎么办？当你突然想知道一些其它的知识资料时，怎么办？现在如果在你的电脑中安装了一本电子词典，那使用起来将是很方便、准确和快捷！电子词典是一种多功能的词典类工具软件，它不但可以即时翻译，快速地、准确的、详细地查阅英文单词，而且又可以使用各种各样丰富的附录资源，使自己的知识面拓展地更宽、更广。基于此需要，电子词典软件通常包括两个部分：向导和附录。其中向导用来查询单词；而附录用来查阅一些常用的知识。本课题我选用PowerBuilder8.0(pb8.0)来开发它, 数据库采用pb8.0内部的Adaptive Server Anywhere(ASA)来创建。

Title The development of the electronics dictionary
Abstract: We will meet some difficulties in our daily life. For example: How can you deal with the unknown words when you are working or searching in the internet? How can you find out the exact meaning of certain words or sentences when you receive a piece of Email from one of your American friends? But now, if you have a E-dictionary in your computer, you could get the meaning exactly and quickly. The electronic dictionary is one of the multifunctional software with the same usage as a dictionary. Not only can it do on-time translation, be consulted in a quick, accurate, and detailed way, but also it contains a lot of appendixes which can help the users to enlarge their ranges of knowledge. Owing to this demand, software of electronic dictionary usually is composed of two sections: the guide and the appendix. The guide is used to look for the meaning of a single phrase, while the appendix is used to offer some information in common use.
