WHAT’S TENDENCY OF DEVELOPMENT IN EDUCATION SYSTEMS IN CHINESE HIGH SCHOOL AND ENGLISH A LEVEL?---COMPARE REFORMS IN CHINA AND CURRICULUM 2000 IN ENGLAND
ABSTRACT
In resent years, Chinese government reformed the curriculum and the model of examination three times in high school. Despite each reform contradicted to the last reform, the aims of reforms are reducing the burden for students and tending to good correspondence between learning and actual examinations. In England, curriculum 2000 was the important reform introduced new qualification of A level. This essay illustrates the similarities and contrasts between Chinese and English reforms and their effect through comparing some aspects of reforms rather than describing the details of them. Through comparison both countries, I analyse the strength and weakness of Chinese systems and English.
