• The role of observation as a foundation for assessment, planning and evaluation is considered.
Discuss the importance of observation, and how it relates to assessment evaluation and planning the curriculum. Each item must be addressed.
• The role of the teacher and teaching strategies to implement the curriculum are examined.
Consider the role of the teacher in setting the physical, temporal and interpersonal environment
Strategies should include teaching techniques and links to McNaughton and Williams (2004) and reading 6 – Jablon & Williams (2006).
• Socio-cultural perspectives are used to support the discussion.
Draw on Vygotsky, Bruner, Bronfenbrenner and the principles of Te Whāriki to address the socio cultural perspective – these are discussed in book 2 of Kei Tua o Te Pae. You could indicate how each principle can be addressed.
Consider involving/collaborating with parents/whānau, reciprocal relationships, involving children in their own assessment, parent’s voice, and children’s voice.

It is strongly advised to have at least three observations to draw from and to submit them with your work as an appendix. More detailed information about the teaching plan is available on the NZTC website under learning resources.
• The parent consent form and observation data are attached as appendices.
There is a parent permission form on the NZTC website to use before collecting observations to help with the plan.

The important thing to include is the main aspects of planning for learning.
So a marker must be able to see evidence in your writing that you have carried out the following processes;
• Your reason for choosing a particular child to observe
• Formal observation ( include the documentation of at least three observations of at least two different types)
• Your interpretation of the observations. What important information have you gathered ab 本论文由无忧论文网www.51lunwen.com整理提供
